The first ONE Prayer event took place October 6th 2019 at the Fellowship Hall of First Presbyterian Church (FPC) Greenville.
In the image above you see most of the pastors from the 7 churches represented in the event, which in addition to First Pres., include Abundant Life Church, Hope Church, Nuevo Comienzo, Outreach Church, Renovation Church and The Equipping Center.
Local Christians from many other congregations joined with us, and from the moment we began to sing the first worship song till we all recited the Apostles Creed in unison, the presence of the Lord was palpable and the cry to the Lord for greater church unity arose with authenticity.
We offered many prayers that night. We worshiped God together in song. There was opportunity to receive personal prayers from prayer servants. But the entire effort was a corporate cry of ONE Prayer: that we may be One. This prayer of Jesus in John 17 was our prayer, and as mentioned in our last post, we believe the Lord heard our prayers that evening.
